Kylian Mbappe has warned Edinson Cavani that he has no qualms about facing his former Paris Saint-Germain teammate and will ‘try to beat him’ when Manchester United visit Paris next week.
United will make their long awaited return to the Champions League on Tuesday when they travel to face PSG in their opening game in Group H.
The match also gives the opportunity for a swift reunion with his old club for Cavani, who left the Parisians upon the expiration of his contract this past summer.
United’s new signing is in contention to make his debut for United against his old side but Mbappe has made it clear their friendship will be put to one side for the 90 minutes.
“Not at all, he is in a different team now,” the Frenchman told TF1. “I wish him the best. We are going to play against him and try to beat him.”
A recap of today’s United news.
